For women in their 40s and 50s

I Was Working Out Five Days a Week Just to Stay in the Same Place.

Protein every day. Cardio every morning. Pilates twice a week. And it never got easier. It turns out I wasn't moving forward. I was just keeping up.

Doing everything right. Getting nowhere.

You know this feeling if you've lived it.

You're up before everyone else. Walk, spin, Pilates, whatever you can fit in. You hit your protein. You skip the wine. You do the work.

And it never gets easier.

Same pace on the same loop, month after month. The same ten squats in class before your legs quit. Sore every night like it's your first week.

Your trainer is 32. She says lift heavier.

Your doctor says do more cardio.

Nobody asks why all that effort isn't adding up.

"I'm not gaining muscle, just maintaining."
"Sore. All. The. Time."
"I'd just keep hitting a wall."

Real words from women in their 40s and 50s.

You weren't failing. You were treading water.

After 40, muscle gets harder to hold on to. Hormones shift, and the same effort builds less than it used to.

And if you've lost weight, especially fast, some of what came off wasn't fat. In two large weight-loss trials, about a quarter to two-fifths of the weight lost was lean mass.

So all that cardio wasn't moving you forward.

It was just keeping up with the muscle you were losing.

That's why it never gets easier. That's why you're sore like it's week one. You're not doing it wrong.

You're missing a piece.

I was working this hard just to keep what I had.

Turn your protein tub around.

Look for creatine on the label. It's almost never there.

Protein gives your muscles something to build with. It doesn't refill what they run on.

Every hard push, the hill, the last reps, the stairs with your arms full, runs on creatine. Your body already makes some. After 40, it needs topping off.

Keep the protein. Add the scoop.

One scoop. Five minutes. Your kitchen.

You don't need a gym or a new routine. Keep your walks, your Pilates, your pickleball. Add two small things.

One scoop in your coffee. Unflavored. 5 grams. It disappears.

Five minutes at the counter while it brews. Squats, step-ups, counter push-ups. That gives your muscles a reason to use it.

Every day. It builds up over about four weeks. No buzz, no crash. One day you notice the hill didn't stop you.

Creatine works best with a little strength work. That's what the research shows, and it's why we tell you, instead of promising it does the work for you.

Supports strength with regular resistance exercise.*

Ingredient. Creatine monohydrate. Nothing else

In women 60 and older, creatine added strength on top of strength training, especially over 24 weeks or more (Dos Santos et al., 2021).

It isn't a steroid or a stimulant. It's the same compound your body makes and that's in a piece of salmon.

Bulky? No. At 5 grams a day with light strength work, you're keeping muscle, not building a bodybuilder's.

Kidneys? In healthy adults, kidney function stays the same. If you have kidney disease, ask your doctor first.

Bloating? Stomach upset in the big safety review was no different from placebo.

Why I made this

A big set was rolling in. I knew I was going to get pounded, and there was no way I was beating that wave.

All I could think was: are you kidding me?

I was doing everything right. Protein every day. In the water every day. Losing weight. It should have been getting easier. It never did. After a big session it took me three days to get my legs back. Every time.

Then I added creatine to my protein.

I didn't feel anything happen. No buzz. Then one day I realized I'd been out three days in a row and I was fine. Now I can go a week. And the nights on the couch, sore everywhere? I never even noticed them stop.

That's the thing about creatine. You don't feel it kick in. You notice what stopped.

I built Lightanchor for the women in my life who are doing everything right and still treading water. One ingredient, no sugar, made to disappear in your coffee.

Do I have to lift weights?

No gym and no heavy weights. The studies that found strength benefits paired creatine with strength work, and that can be bodyweight moves at home. Five minutes at the counter counts.

I already take protein. Isn't that enough?

It builds up over about four weeks. Give it 4 to 8 weeks alongside a little strength work. Most women notice what stopped, like the stall on the hill or the sore nights.

Will it make me gain weight?

It may add a pound or two of water inside your muscles in the first few weeks. It doesn't add fat.

Can I put it in hot coffee?

Yes. Stir it in and drink it while it's warm.

I'm on HRT or a GLP-1. Can I take it?

Check with your doctor or prescriber first, and tell them about every supplement you take.

What if it's not for me?

You have 60 days to change your mind.
